Who we are

Our history

The History of Ford & WarrenFord & Warren's roots in Leeds go all the way back to 1816. The firm was originally based at 57-71 Albion Street. Partners came and went adding a rich tapestry of history and experience to the practice. It was the addition of William Warren in 1878 that gave the firm the name it still has today.

In the late 1960s the firm moved from Albion Street to East Parade, Leeds and then Park Square, Leeds in the mid 70s. In August 1989 the firm moved to its current home at Westgate Point; originally occupying floors 6 & 7. By 2001 Ford & Warren occupied the whole building (all 7 floors).

Despite catering to a host of local needs, the firm receives 70% of instructions from outside the Yorkshire area, giving the firm a national and international presence.

The firm has a distinct advantage when working on today's international playing field, making Ford & Warren more equipped than most to assist both local, national and international clients.

The firm has remained in a very good position throughout the economic downturn. Where other firms have suffered, Ford & Warren has benefited due to its price advantage coming to the fore.

Over the last year the firm has seen many successes. The firm continues to grow organically and attracts a client base which includes FTSE 100 companies. The firm also continues to rank highly within both the Legal 500 and Chambers directories.

With a history that goes back almost 150 years, here stands a firm that has stood the test of time.
